The Plus International Design Festival, which takes place in Birmingham from 17 - 21 October 2007, is looking for current undergraduates in the areas of typo/graphic design, multimedia, interactive media, animation or illustration, to speak at the opening conference, bringing together the views and visions of those working in the design industry. The three day conference forms a major part of the Plus International Design Festival, and this year's theme is Moving Type. Caroline Archer, director of Plus, said: "The Moving Type Conference is a fantastic networking opportunity, and will provide students with a platform to meet designers and industry professionals from all over the world. "Students don't often get the opportunity to take a leading role in such established and high profile events, and the successful applicants will be able to present their work on the same stage as the professionals. By inviting student speakers to take part in the conference, our audience will be able to see fresh and innovative new work from the next generation of leading industry figures." The organisers are looking for individual students or groups to present work on the theme of moving type. Undergraduates who are interested in taking part in the conference should visit Plus at http://www.youplusus.net for more information or call Caroline on 01923 800425. |
